One Cost Clients take on Ben Nevis!

Two One Cost clients decided to take on Ben Nevis, along with our very own Kevin Hesketh, who is a Boxing Coach for Boxercise Ashton.
Simon Crowther from Abbeydale Nursing Homes Group and James Ramsbottom from Elle R Leisure (Dukes 92/Albert’s Shed), tackled the UK’s biggest mountain at 4,408 feet!
They joined members of Boxercise Ashton in the attempt to raise money for local charities. The weather was fine on the day but the last 800 feet tested them, as they had to endure snow blizzards and ‘white out’ conditions!
All descended safely and partied the night away in Fort William to celebrate their achievement. Both Simon and James have caught the ‘Mountain climbing bug’ and will be joining Boxercise Ashton on more expeditions over the summer.

BUPA Great Manchester Run – UPDATE

Our very own Joanne Hill ran the BUPA Great Manchester Run on Sunday 20th May 2012.
Jo ran the race in 48:55 minutes which is an excellent time smashing her previous personal best by over 7 minutes!!
She has also raised over £320 for Hospitality Action.
One Cost has worked closely with Hospitality Action for over 6 years and is proud to name them as our nominated charity.
Hospitality Action offers vital assistance to all who work, or have worked within hospitality in the UK and find themselves in crisis. This includes people suffering from life-altering illnesses such as Parkinson’s disease, cancer and Multiple Sclerosis. It includes those experiencing poverty, bereavement and domestic violence or have sick and disabled children.
